About the authors:
John D Lorimer
John Lorimer started officiating in 1989 and was the vice officials chair in Colorado in the early 90's and became Colorado Official's Chair for 5 years until 2002. He served on the National Officials Committee and has worked all over the country and teaches a course for USA Swimming on Meet Operations.
John helped start the Four Corners Regional Championships and Co-Chaired the orginizing committee along with co-founder John Degnan. John also created and maintained the Colorado Swimming website (www.csi.org) and was the technology chair from 1994 until 2009. He and several volunteers took over the Colorado Swimming website after it was abandoned by the Colorado LSC.
John still teaches officiating and runs the Four Corners Officials Clinic that is held in Ouray Colorado every last weekend in October. These articles cover subjects about officiating and philosophy of officiating.
